School Aged Advanced

The Aquatots School aged advanced program is for children who are working on perfecting their strokes in preparation for squad level swimming.

They can demonstrate correct technique for the required distance for both freestyle and backstroke and are working on breaststroke and butterfly.

In the advanced school aged program children will start swimming further distances with the strokes that they can swim technically correct to build on stamina getting ready for squad level swimming.

Mini Sharks

Ages 5 to 7 years of age

Book Information Session

Mini Sharks are the same swimming ability as the Sharks. The Mini groups are for children 5 to 7 years of age to ensure that the children in these levels are comfortable when learning.

In Mini Sharks children can swim technical freestyle and backstroke and will be moving onto distance for these strokes in preparation for life saving reasons. They will also learn the technical side of breaststroke.

This is the completion level of the Aquatots learn to swim program.

To graduate from Mini Shark children must demonstrate technical freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke for the required distance. They will also have the option to be tested for their Bronze Star life saving award.

If your child turns 7 before they master these strokes they will move into the Shark level to continue on these skills in the correct age group.

The duration of this class is 30 minutes

Sharks

Ages 7 to 12 years

Children in Sharks can perform technical freestyle and backstroke and will move onto distance with these strokes for life saving reasons and to build stamina.

They also learn the technical side of breaststroke. The foundations of breaststroke have been taught throughout the lower levels. In Sharks children will learn to put all of the elements of the stroke together.

This is the completion level for Aquatots learn to swim program.

To graduate form Sharks children must demonstrate technical freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke for the required distance. They will also have the option to be tested for their Bronze Star life saving award.

The duration of these classes is 45 minutes

Mini Squad Prep

Ages 5 to 7 years

Children in Mini Squad Prep can demonstrate correct technique for freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke and will be working on distance with these strokes in preparation for squad swimming.

Mini Squad Prep children are 5 to 7 years of age and they are learning the technical side of butterfly. The foundations of butterfly have been taught in the lower levels of the program and at this level children learn to put all of the elements together.

They will also be working on squad level swimming requirements.

To graduate from Mini Squad Prep children must demonstrate all four strokes technically correct for the required distance. If your child turns 7 before the aster all four strokes they will move into Sharks Butterfly where they will continue to work on these skills with the correct age group.

The class duration for a Mini Squad Prep class is 30 minutes

Squad Prep

Squad Prep is the last level of the Aquatots learn to swim program before squad swimming. In this level children are learning the technical side of butterfly and have moved onto distance with freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke.

The foundations of butterfly are taught throughout the lower levels of the program in Sharks Butterfly children will learn to put the stroke together.

In this level children will also be working on the requirements to become a squad level swimmer

To graduate from Squad Prep children must demonstrate all four strokes technically correct for the required distance.
