the Aquatots concept was developed in 2003 as a local Canberra swim school committed to reducing drowning statistics, by teaching children to swim in a fun, warm and friendly environment. Aquatots specialises in teaching infants to swim and caters for all children aged from six months onwards. Aquatots also has an adult learn to swim program. Aquatots teaches everything from the basics for complete beginners through to stroke development for more competent swimmers, focusing on all the fundamentals of swimming and water safety that could one day help to save their lives.
We at Aquatots use a unique teaching method developed by our Principal Debbie Sarri Bachelor of Education (early childhood & physical education) that maximizes your child's results and enjoyment. The lessons are all organized high quality programs and based on small class sizes so that each child gets plenty of attention to detail.
The instructors at Aquatots use child-centred teaching methods that respect, encourage and praise all children effectively. All teachers go through extensive Aquatots training programs and are required to have both their AUSTSWIM and Infant Aquatics qualifications.
Our aim is to teach natural buoyancy and encourage children to develop reliance and confidence in their own abilities while learning the most efficient swimming techniques. Learning to swim correctly will help your child conserve energy when trying to swim in an emergency situation. Correct technique is not just about competition but about being able to swim & survive.

Aquatots swim schools operates at two venues; The Gold Creek Country Club - Pool and the Black Mountain School - Pool (O'Conner). Both pools are great for babies and young children, as the water and air temperatures are suitable for learning to swim.
Aquatots at Gold Creek is located along Curran Drive, Harcourt Hill and is part of the Gold Creek Country Club. Aquatots at O'Connor is located on Cockle Street, O'Connor.
